On Wednesday evening I read for about 3 hours. I am about 200 pages into Night Film (which I started on Tuesday before bed). In the car on the way to work I listened to the end of W is for Wasted (that makes 2 books finished this week). At lunch I read 20 pages of The Once and Future King.
I didn't get a chance to check out challenges or the twitter chat.
I haven't read The Once and Future King yet, though I really want to. Good luck with the rest of the read-a-thon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I am enjoying Once and Future which is one of my classics club titles. When I started making my list for that project I realized there are a lot of sci-fi and fantasy classics that I never read so I am trying to read those.
DeleteWhat do you think about Night Film so far? It has been talked favourably lately, but I'm still sceptical (maybe it's the size...) During readathons I really wish I knew how to "read" audiobooks, it sounds like a great way to optimise your time. Unfortunately I seem to have too short of attention span for that.
ReplyDeleteI find audio books really only work for me when I am doing something else (like driving). I make quilts and I have also found audiobooks are good when I am sewing. I am really liking Night Film, it is weird and rather creepy, but it is a page turner. In some ways a similar tone to Something Wicked This Way Comes, but much more contemporary in the setting and the voice.
DeleteWeird and creepy sounds like a good read! I think I probably can't resist the curiousity to read Night Film one day too.
DeleteI do admire you people who can listen to an audiobook while doing something else. I tried it while taking a walk for a few times, and even then failed... (or maybe it was just that outside I tend to pay a lot of attention what goes around myself - I should actually try one at home, might be more relaxing!)
