I'm a bit surprised at how funny this book was. I don't think of punctuation as a humorous topic, but it is when Lynne Truss gets hold of it. Besides the funny bits, there are also a lot of helpful explanations of when to use various punctuation marks and quite a bit of the history of typography. I am left with the conclusion the Gertrude Stein was a crank.
