Review: Death in a White Tie

Death In A White Tie Death In A White Tie
by Ngaio Marsh

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Marsh really might be better than Christie. Alleyn is a wonderful character and he has the best mother besides. This is a tale of blackmail that ends up in a murder within Alleyn's social circle. It brings Troy back into his world and the storyline between the two of them makes a nice counterpoint to the murder/blackmail investigation.

This book counts toward the Vintage Mystery Challenge in the category of Leave It to the Professionals (a book featuring cops, private eyes, secret service, professional spies, etc.) and would count toward the Colorful Reading Challenge, except I already have a "white" book.
