The Art Forger
by Barbara Shapiro
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This novel was made up of 3 different stories intertwined and was very well done. The main character, who was the center of two of the stories, was an interesting and appealing character. There was a bit of a thriller quality to the book as curiosity about how it would all turn out kept the pages turning. There is a lot of information about art forgery, Isabella Stewart Gardner, Degas, and the Boston art scene blended into the story. A quick and enjoyable novel.
This book really captured my imagination. I'll be watching for another book from Shapiro.
