Austen in August - The Plan

Roof Beam Reader is once again hosting Austen in August and I am signing up to participate.

Here are the books I plan to read:

  • Mansfield Park -- from my Classics Club list
  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies -- when I read Death Comes to Pemberley I was inspired to re-read P&P, but this has been on my shelf for ages so it goes on the list
  • Jane Austen's The History of England -- another from my Classics Club list
Here are the movies I plan to watch:

    Have fun, I'm joining in too :)
    I'm hoping to reread one Austen and read one new to me, I might try Mansfield Park.

      Glad you're playing along! I had a great boss when I was in college whose favorite Austen was Mansfield Park and I have never gotten around to reading it so I am excited to finally get to it.

    Good luck for August, Mary. Somehow watching movie adaptsions feels so appropriate for the summer time :) And it'll be interesting to see in the end of the month what either of us thought of Mansfield Park.
