The Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny

This wasn't the best of the Penny novels--I think Brutal Telling might be my favorite so far--but it was much better than other readers' reviews led me to expect. I was very unhappy with the ending, but not because it wasn't reasonable or well presented, I just wantedhoped a character to make a different choice. I loved how she mixed in the quotes from Murder in the Cathedral and "no one expects the inquisition."
