I have read other collections of David Sedaris essays and enjoyed them very much. There were six essays in this collection and I only liked one of them. "Santaland Diaries" was very funny and was typical of the other Sedaris I have read. The others were more cynical and I didn't find them funny (this is what makes humor a challenge).

This title was on my list for the Literary Christmas 2021.
