This was an excellent adventure story about a young girl who is transported into the 3rd century where she meets the man who will become Saint Nicholas. The mixing of history and adventure through the eyes of a modern young girl is very well crafted here. A Midsummer Night's Dream is also woven into the story in a clever way.
Karen Kelloway lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia so this book counts toward the Canadian Book Challenge.
