I don't really get memoir as a genre, so my issues with this book may be more me than the book. It was like listening to the stories of a new acquaintance who way over shares. The recipes were good though and if you don't have a basic repertoire of Italian recipes these would be a good place to start. This audiobook did inspire me to make an artichoke risotto.
